Lightning activity over Indian landmass, ocean and coastal region to understand the land-ocean contrast with respect to atmospheric parameters.

Annual lightning activity over Indian subcontinent to understand its variation during El-Nino, La-Nina and Normal Summer Monsoon Years.

Guidance to students

I was co-guide to Kumari Gayatri Vani for her M.Tech. project entitled "Study of lightning activity over north east India", during 2007-2008, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
I was co-guide to Kumari S. Pate for her M.Sc. (Environmental Science) project entitled "East west contrast in the lightning activity over the Indian region", during 2008-2009 from University of Pune, Pune.
I was co-guide to the student Ms. Sahla Sharin A.P. for her M.Sc. Physics project entitled "Processing of atmospheric aerosols with monsoonal clouds", during June-December 2017, from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi.
I have been helping Mr. M.Y. Aslam, SRF in his Ph.D. research work entitled "Ürban heat island and its association with air quality for metropolitan cities of India under SAFAR Network" as a co-guide. He was working under Dr. G. Beig, Research Guide, he registered for his Ph.D. degree from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. He has been awarded Ph.D. degree from the said University on 18 February 2018.
